We invite you to attend the lecture entitled “WHO Classification of Brain Tumors”, which will be delivered by Prof. Wiesława Grajkowska, MD, PhD.
Since graduating from medical school, Prof. Wiesława Grajkowska has been professionally associated primarily with The Children’s Memorial Health Institute (Pomnik – Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka), where she serves as Head of the Histopathology Laboratory.
She is also actively involved in histopathological diagnostics at the Department of Pathomorphology of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Warsaw, the National Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases Research Institute, the Mossakowski Medical Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Department of Pathomorphology of the School of Medical Sciences at the Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education, and the National Institute of Oncology.
From 2014 to 2025, she served as the National Consultant in Neuropathology. She has been a member of the Science Policy Committee during the 2016–2018 and 2018–2020 terms, and is a member of the Polish Association of Neuropathologists, the European Confederation of Neuropathological Societies, the Polish Society of Pathologists, and the European Society of Pathology. In 2012, she was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit for her contributions to healthcare and the development of pediatrics in Poland.
Prof. Grajkowska’s research interests include pediatric and adult neuro-oncology, neuropathology, the diagnosis of childhood tumors, and the neuropathology and molecular basis of epilepsy associated with tuberous sclerosis complex and cortical dysplasia.
