Dear Colleagues,
The establishment of the Polish Society of Neuro-Oncology aims to facilitate collaboration and the development of research projects related to tumors of the central nervous system.
I warmly invite all representatives of basic and clinical sciences who conduct — or wish to participate in — research on nervous system tumors to take part in the activities of our Society.
This forum for the exchange of experience between biologists, immunologists, geneticists, histopathologists, radiologists, molecular diagnosticians, radiation oncologists, clinical oncologists, and neurosurgeons is intended to be a place where we can get to know one another, build friendships, and establish scientific cooperation. I hope that through such collaboration, research projects submitted to the Medical Research Agency, the National Science Centre, or the National Centre for Research and Development will be of higher quality and thus have a greater chance of receiving funding.
Our Society also invites Polish scientists who have achieved success in the field of neuro-oncology while working in leading oncological and academic centers around the world to join and collaborate with us. We hope to draw inspiration from their experience and to participate in their ongoing research projects.
I am truly pleased by the opportunity to establish this collaboration, and I hope that participation in the activities of the Polish Society of Neuro-Oncology will be a source of inspiration, research success, professional satisfaction, and lasting friendships for all of you.
Once again, I warmly invite you to join and collaborate with us.
Prof. Marek Harat, MD, PhD
President of the Polish Society of Neuro-Oncology
